Many Globulation2 users and developers socialise in the official Globulation2 'Game' Channel (#glob2), here you chat to other Glob2 fans and developers and find out whats happening with your favourite (we hope) game. You may be also able to find yourself some opposition for an online game using Ysagoon Online Gaming.

Globulation2 developers also run a Globulation2 Development Channel (#glob2-dev) where the development cycle and additions are commonly discussed.

Connecting to IRC

The Globulation2 Channels are currently hosted on the OFTC IRC Network which is accessible via irc.globulation2.org or irc.oftc.net (both go to the same network). This is normally done by issuing '/server irc.oftc.net' followed by '/join #glob2'.

Common IRC Clients are:

  • mIRC - Windows
  • XChat - Windows & Linux (N.B. The windows version requires you to purchase a license after 30 days, see next link for a free version)
  • SilverEX's XChat build - Windows
  • ChatZilla A simple extension for Mozilla Firefox, also available in Catalan, French, Italian, Spanish, German and Portuguese localization - Windows, Linux, Mac,...
  • irssi - Linux

More Information

More information on the IRC Protocol can be found at wikipedia, as can a more complete list of IRC clients be found there.
