'''I finished updating the german translation - what shall I do with the file?''' - Martin |
Revision as of 12:57, 19 April 2006
Hi,
I'm a user from Germany and I'm able to contribute by translating things into German and producing maps. I also know some graphics and I'm at the moment learning to program, so I'll hopefully be able to help programming Globulation in a certain time.
My Jabber-ID is ext3rminans@jabber.ccc.de
Please correct me if I do some mistakes, I'll be happy if I can improve my English here, you are also invited to simply edit my user page.
- Hi Martin. Thanks for translating the download page. Can you leave the user manual page for now though because its not complete and you'd have to update often. However, if you have more time, the german translation could use some updating. Interested? If so, download cvs, and copy texts.en.txt to your desktop. Rename it to texts.de.txt, open it up and start translating. Sure, there is already a texts.de.txt in cvs, however its out of date. Many lables are missing, and if a label has been renamed then it will be difficult to tell why somethings not working. ITs far eaiser (longer yes, but easier) to start fresh. Garentee's acuracy too.
- Ok, I translated the download page because it's said here that this would be useful. I'll start to update the german translation now.
