The screenshots were taken on a reduced resolution to save bandwidth. In the game, you can define the resolution you like, and then you will see much more globules on the screen...

Your colony is under heavy attack!
Your colony is low in resources!
Your inn is under attack!
Collecting more fruits than your enemy will make your enemie's units want to eat at your inns and convert permanently to your party. That's one of the more peaceful ways of winning in Globulation.
