Will we migrate the French version here as well?

Well, for now I think it's better to concentrate on the English one as there is still lot of things in movement. --Nct 10:38, 15 January 2006 (PST)

Roads and Storage Buildings

I think it would add alot to the game if we were to add two buildings: Roads and resource storage buildings. This would allow inns to be built further away from grain. We would just need a storage building somewhere in the middle of a large grain area and then we would be able to assign seven or eight workers to the storage area. This way we would be able to fully harvest the grain without allowing the grain to completly suround the building. Another grain house would be built about 15 spaces away and workers would move grain between the two buildings until they had equal amounts. Other workers would see the grainhouse as a resource and begin to grab grain (or wood) from there and move them to the inn.

Roads would also have several advantages. One of them is it would be to make roads between buildings in a grain field or forest. If the forest becomes overgrown then there is still the road leading to the building or in other words roads prevent trees and grain from growing on certain squares. Also roads will allow buildings to be built further away from their resource as units can move along the road at a faster pace. This also has many tactical benefits as well being a town with roads will allow its soldiers to move to its borders at a quicker pace. We could also allow roads to have all three upgrades letting units move faster with each upgrade.

Inn Problem

As a possible substitute for warehouses we could instead fix the AI so that it views Inns as resources. An example: A worker is looking for wheat for Inn A, either Inn A hasn't any nearby wheat or the nearby wheat is flaged as a forbidden area, Inn B is nearby and has more wheat then Inn A. In this situation the worker will grab wheat from Inn B and move it to Inn A until they are equal in resources. This will let us create a trail of Inns farther inland. Workers will fill up Inns near resources and other workers will move the resources from the inns near the fields to the Inns distant from the fields. At the very least we should do this.
