0.8.16 (in testing)

General improvements

  • PNG's sizes reduced by pngcrush
  • Several crash bugs fixed
  • The output of the game is now much quieter
  • Changed YOG metaserver address to yog.globulation2.org
  • Changed YOG IRC server address to irc.globulation2.org

Changes to gameplay

  • The "inn bug" has been fixed: vast numbers of workers could previously be trapped by almost-full inns.
  • Explorer damage against buildings is now constant, rather than being proportional to the number of squares the explorer's pulse hits.
  • Touched up the campaign a bit
  • The game now admits it when you win by prestige
  • New AI: AIHelper (will most likely be finished in time)

  • free unit only go to heal if they are more than 10% damaged
  • unit heal speed depends on their damages
  • explorer now have magic attack. Air first then ground with school level 3 upgrade
  • shift-v toggle voice chat on/off
  • graphic info are displayed in game option menu

  • map can't be saved in editor bug fixed
  • GL display in 16bpp fixed
